PlaceMatters will be working on a team led by Goody Clancy to help Wichita, Kansas to create a Revitalization Master Plan for downtown. PlaceMatters will be focusing on using online tools, mobile technologies, and the AnyWare suite of tools for public meetings to help Wichita citizens create a common vision for the revitalization of their downtown.

The team will focus on economic analysis and connecting downtown sites as part of the planning process. The project's goals include creating a plan for a "24/7" downtown and creating a strong business plan.

PlaceMatters will be working on a team led by Clarion Associates to update Fort Collins Comprehensive Plan.  PlaceMatters will be working with the City and the project team to design and implement a public engagement process that focuses on multi-channel participation, transparency, and the creation and communication of indicators of progress toward City goals.

PlaceMatters will be working with Wallace, Roberts, and Todd to update Albany's Comprehensive Plan.  We will be providing the public engagement and decision-support for a comprehensive plan that will reflect the vision of the entire community. This process will help Albany discover citizens' aspirations for the future, define the City's character, and determine what steps are needed to achieve future goals.

PlaceMatters will provide overall public engagement process design, visualization, scenario analysis, and an interactive website.

In light of recent events such as Hurricane Katrina and the looming threat of global climate change, PlaceMatters and David and Lucile Packard Foundation have identified a critical need for ways to effectively integrate ecosystem science and community planning in ways the public and decision-makers can readily understand and act on.
